Dino Bank

We bought Logan a "piggy" bank. . . except for that it is a dinosaur. He is so in love with this thing! I have to keep it put up most of the time though, because he thinks that it is supposed to be a toy to carry around. He doesn't understand that it is just to put money in yet...but one day he will, oh he will.

The Dino Bank. . .

Here he is with his new dino. . .

He does pretty good putting those little coins in the mouth, which is suprising to me at his age. He gets irritated when he can't get it in. . .but overall does great.

This is right after we all said "NO!" at the same time (Craig, Bill, & I) when Logan was about to shove several coins in his mouth. Needless to say, we scared him & he cried. Poor little guy.

Oh yeah, we got this a Nursery Rhymes in Flowood, MS if anyone wants one. I think they really neat! (did I just say neat?). wow.

Happy Belated Birthday . . To My Blog!

So I was just going back through all of my posts & realized that I have been doing this jazz for a little over a year! I can't believe it. This year has gone by SOOOO Fast! At this rate...I'll be a 100 y/o before you know it. ;)

YES. . .I am a dork. So.

TOMS Shoes

Has anyone else heard about this? Or do I obviously live under a rock? Anyway...I'm getting Me & Logan a pair. I think this is a totally awesome thing!! These people rock for coming up with this idea!

For every pair of shoes, shirt, or jacket you buy from this place. . .one pair of shoes are sent to a child in cool is that?

True Words...

As I was blog stalking tonight with my mighty large glass of wine. . . I came across a girl's blog that really reminded me of how precious my child is.(& it isn't that you forget this fact...but everyone needs reminding sometimes) Logan has gotten into his prime of temper tantrums & we have tried everything to get him to stop. Today, Lori came over after we had a ruff morning of tantrums, and he showed Lori exactly what he could do (as far as a tantrum goes). I put him in time out to finish his tantrum, screaming, prior to going into time out, at decibels I didn't think could come from such a small set of lungs. After he came out of time out, he was practically an angel the rest of the day. . Anyway back to my blog stalking. . . I was reading a blog by a friend I knew from high school. She had an entry talking about her work. She must be a nurse, as am I, that works with pretty sick kids. Here is her entry. . .

The Healer
On my short drive home from work this morning, less than 2 hours after I wheeled a young patient of mine down to the morgue, I nearly squashed a few squirrels in the road with my front tires. I was distracted, I guess, by the smell of death that seemed to be permanently seared into my nostrils. But no, it wasn't permanent. When I peered over Gus's crib rail and received that big gummy morning grin of his, I forgot about cold morgues. Then later, after I had bathed away all the hospital grime and sadness, I buried my nose in his sweet chubby folds and just inhaled. Deeply.

Gus is her little baby, and her baby has nothing to do with Logan's tantrums, except for this. . .I have a healthy baby boy who is the smartest, cutest, sweetest little thing, & HEALTHY little boy in MY entire world. For this I am so thankful. . .and his tantrums shall pass. I'll just have to pray for God to give me strength to have the patience to guide him. Also to pray for thanks of such a great baby. . . . then to further the entry. . .her brother left this comment. . .

"for 'All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers; and the flower falls; but the word of the Lord remains forever.' And this word is the good news that was preached to you." I Peter 1:24-25 (ESV)

And all of this rambling of mine is just to say that I'm so thankful for my sweet little "LoLo", healthy tantrums and all!

I know I ramble...sorry. And it doesn't have anything to do with my large glass of wine, b/c I just made it. ;)

The things they do . . .

Logan has figured, out all on his on that the marshmallows, are better than the cereal, in Lucky Charms that is. How do they figure this stuff out? This was his first bowl of cereal. . .he brought this back & said "Gone, Gone, Mama. I want some mo". . .which is what he does when he finishes EVERYTHING now. Little turkey didn't touch a single . . .uh what is the other part called....the "not the marshmallow" part. ? ;)

To clean or not to clean?

Logan has this camo bean bag that he got last year, from his Papaw, for Christmas. He is sorta partial to it. Well today, I sat on this thing and realized that it just was nasty. So I decided that today would be bean bag cleaning day. I thought, easy enough...take off the cover and throw it in the was. Hahahahah. . .yea right. I thought that there would be a bag full of "beans" when I unzipped it & I could just pull them out, throw it in the wash, shove the bag back in then WALA! Clean Bean Bag! Uhm, not really. This is what I opened the zipper up to find. . .

Those beans don't look so small to you?? Well let me just show you exactly how small they are. This is a matchbox car (or hotwheels car). Do you see that little white ball next to the wheel? Well, that my friend is the beans that fill up the bean bag.

Now, this is how many bags of beans I emptied out of that bag! SIX GARBAGE BAGS FULL!!!!

So word to the wise....just throw the thing away & buy another one. Ugh.

Against my better judgement?

Craig and Logan were outside today playing while I was inside playing on the computer. Craig calls me from outside & asks "can I take Logan riding on my 4-wheeler". He knows how I feel about kids on these things so young, so I suppose that is why he called me from outside, instead of coming in and asking me to my face. Against my better judgement, I let him do it. So of course, this is time for a photo shoot, because it is Logan's 1st time on the 4-wheeler. He seemed a little shell shocked by it. I don't know if he really liked it or not.

Logan's fake "cheese" smile! ;)

So it was all good & he seemed to have a blast. Glad it went well.

Statement to Craig

Okay, so I need to clarify about something. I got in "trouble" last night for for a previous entry I made about Craig. ;) How he even knew this was on my blog is beyond me, because I didn't even think he ever read it. Anyway, I made the comment that he "knew how to play the guitar okay, and had a gorgeous voice"...Well he does have a pretty voice, which is not the part I got in trouble for. The part about playing the guitar okay was the part! So I didn't mean it to sound like he couldn't play the guitar...I just wouldn't know how good he is BECAUSE HE WON'T PLAY IN FRONT OF ME! So take that Hubby! I'm not gonna go out and say that your awesome, because I wouldn't know! ;0) If you ever play for me an entire song through, then I'll retract my statement.
