1st off...when Craig went to pick up Logan from Daycare today...he told him that he finished his slide & swing set. Logan replied with "yay, daddy finally finished my slide"? Where does that kid come from? He comes up with the funnies stuff. What 2 year old knows what "finally" means? Anyway, he was excited when he got home & he did exactly what I thought his 2 year old little self would do...play for 10 minutes, then on to playing in the dirt. ?. The mind of a 2 year old...easily bored. Oh well. He'll like it one day, when he realizes he can "hide" from mom & dad in that little fort. I'm just wondering if we are looking at any broken bones from him JUMPING out of this thing?
Checking out the directions...
He figured it out, and told Craig...this is what took you so long right here dad...you should have done this! :) j/k He was really just pointing out the fact that his slide is on the picture!
First swinging...
A little help with this ladder, please Daddy...
Checkin out the telescope! Thought this was too cool!
Down the slide we go...WooHoo...
This thing rocks...I may go hide in there my self for a little study time! :)

Craig's, I mean Logan's New Playhouse & Swingset!
at
3:54 PM
Finally...it's done. Craig started putting together this monstrosity of a playhouse/swing set about 11 days ago. Bless his heart, I know he's glad to be done with it, well....almost anyway. He's still got to put down the barrier to add in mulch, or something like that? He was so relieved that it was nearly as hard to put together as all the reviews said it was. It went off with very few problems...the main one being one piece of wood?? How do they forget just ONE piece of wood after they put all the 100's of other pieces of wood, screws, nuts, & bolts in there?? All 3 boxes total weighted somewhere around 600 pounds?? Oh well, it got done just the same.
We can't wait to go get Logan' this afternoon so that he can play his little heart out!!! We are both so happy he finally has something to play on outside. I'm sure he'll play with/ on it for a grand total of 10 minutes before he goes right back to hunting sticks & rocks!? That's a little boy for ya!
Here is the finished product. Well, almost finished. Craig still has all of this tools on the picnic table! :) You can see the missing piece of wood on the slide...the one piece of wood that doesn't match anything else! :) We are gonna try to stain it to make it look like a match. We will see?
I can stand up inside of there!! Cool.
The windows from inside the house...
Check out these views from inside the windows!! Little boy paradise! Trees, trees & more trees!
Craig ordered a telescope for the play house!! :)
Ready to slide...
Man, I wish I would have had one of these things when I was a kiddo! Great hiding place!

Here comes Petter Cottontail

5:47 AM
Easter was a fabulous day this year! To start with, how awesome is it that Jesus died on the cross for me & you? Wow, we are so lucky. I cannot imagine the sacrifice of sending your only son to die in order to save people, ones that are here & bad, ones that are here and act good, and all those ones that have never even been born? Wow! Sacrifice! I'm so glad that we serve such a loving God that was willing to save us all!
2nd fabulous part of Easter this year. . .I got put on call from work!!! I'm was so stoked! I got to stay home from work with my family & celebrate Easter. I got to watch Logan see his Easter basket, & I was able to watch his sweet little face while we hunted Easter eggs! It was just tons of fun! I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be able to stay with my family! :) Woo HOo!
Here are a few pics from the day...
This is when he first woke up, before he saw that the Easter Bunny came. . .
How do you sleep with something hard like this? Sleeping with Buzz was very short lived. I probably need to try to find him a stuffed one. . .
This was his basket, just as the Easter Bunny left it. ;) And before Logan got ahold of it.
Gotta love Woody. God knows Logan LOVES Toy Story right now!!
The little turkey ate this thing in about 2 seconds flat!!
That kid tore into the candy as soon as he asw the basket!! He is so my kid! Check out those cute little easter eggs that look like animals. I loved them. We had barn yard animal eggs & dinosaur eggs. They were so cool.
This was his first ring pop. Love the blue tongue after he ate it!
Ready to hunt! He was so cute while he was hunting eggs. It took him a second to realize exactly what he was supposed to be looking for, but he caught on fast. After he figured it it out...So So cute. He would get this huge smile on his face every time he saw an egg and say "Mommy, its a BLUE egg", or whatever color egg he found. LOVED IT!
.
You think I got carried away with the eggs? These are the 2 baskets he filled up on the hunt? Oh well. He liked it. I had a trail. The eggs started at our back door, went out through the back of our yard, down through the back of Helen's yard (logan's great grandmother lives next door to us), and then up to her back door. An Egg Trail. :) It took a lot of eggs to make it that far.
These are just some pics from over at Helen's house after the hunt.
Sweet Helen...
Logan not wanting to share any hugs with Nana...2 year olds...you never know. One minute they are so lovey, the next... not so much.
laughing at ?
Sweet little Daddy, obviously not wanting me to take his picture! :)
He refused to let me get a cute picture of him in the swing at Helen's...oh well. 2 year olds.
Sweet Easter.

Introducing . . .Koen Lowe Douglas
at
9:45 AM
Happy Birthday to you,
We all welcome You,
Happy Birthday sweet Koen
We all Love You!
Sweet Koen Lowe Douglas was born yesterday on March 10, 2010 around 4:30 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds & 9 ounces (however he may have weighted closer to my original guess of the day if they wouldn't have let him breastfeed first!) :). He was 19.5 inches long. He is a little cutie! We are all so proud, especially Mommy Shaun & Daddy Shea! :). Big sister, Lexi & Big brother, Drake could not have been more precious angels at the hospital on his arrival. They were both so excited to meet their little brother.
My mom & dad came & picked me up on their way to Tupelo, after we got the call from soon-to-be new-Mommy (for the 3rd time) that she was in labor. I left straight from work in a frinzie!! I knew if I didn't make it home by the time my parents got there...they were SOOOOO gonna leave me! You can bet they were NOT gonna miss the birth of that sweet grandbaby because of my habitual lateness. CAn't say I blame them! :) Here is Mom & Dad in the car on the way to Tupelo...anxious that we wouldn't arrive in time. . .
We thankfully arrived WAY PRIOR to Koen making his debut! Lexi & Drake met us at the door of the hospital with their cute little "Big Sister" & "Big Brother" attire.
Look at these sweet faces!! :) It feels like yesterday that I was rushing off to meet these sweet little ones too!!!
Her are Shaun's parents sitting patiently in the waiting room. . .
Mimi is excited. . .
Herb, well...lets just say he didn't really like me snappin his picture all day! :) This is about the best picture I could get from him all day! Everytime he saw me point that camera at him he would grump and smile & turn away! :) hehe
We finally made it past all of the security back to the laboring mommy!
Nana & Moommy Shaun
Me & Mommy Shaun
(yes, she gets to be Mommy Shaun today, because I have baby fever & I want to be Mommy Nikki . . .but that's another blog. . .)
How cute is this face?? He was such an angel all day! Cute Stinker!
Here's the sweet family about 2 hours before Koen's devlivery. . .
Mommy & Lexi. . .
Mommy & Daddy. . .
We got kicked out of the room at about 4:10, because the nurse came in to check Shaun & let us know that she was FULLY DILATED & READY TO GO! Woo Hoo!! It was only about 15 minutes later that we got a text from the delivery room (from Lexi...she loves to text now & she stayed in the delivery room) that. . .
"Koen is here, but don't come back here!"
Really? Can I get a little more info than that please? :) I'm so impatient. So we all patiently waited out in the waiting room, . . .
and waited. . .
and waited . .
and
waited. . .
That was the longest wait to see a baby in the history of waiting to see babies! Seriously. We waited for almost 2 hours while they did who knows what, which of DID NOT involve weighing or measuring the baby? How do you NOT WEIGH A BABY WHEN IT FIRST COMES OUT PEOPLE? But all that matters is that Mommy & Baby Koen were doing great back there...we were just all about to die to see them! :)
Right after we got the text we told Drake, "Hey buddy, Koen is here & Your officially a Big Brother!" He had the cutest look...and he put his hand on his chest and said with a big girn on his face "ME?" So cute...i got his expression on camera...
He then replied with, "I'm not the baby anymore!" Cute little guy!!
Here we go...finally... alittle something! Shea comes out with the camera so that we can look at some quick picks & video of the baby! Look how sweet are those proud Grandparents & Daddy!!!
And then, they FINALLY let us back...
Here is Mr. Koen Lowe Douglas!! :)
Sweet baby already sucking his thumb...
and then the paci...But check out that dimple!! So sweet!
Mommy & Koen. . .
Doesn't she look great!?! She doesn't even look like she just squeezed out that cute big ole baby!!!
Sweet hands!
Safe in Mommy's arms & holding her hand!! :)
Finally back to the regular room! Gotta let everyone know our little sweetie is here!!
Mommy Shaun is patiently waiting on them to bring back the baby! Come on people! You are too slow at this hospital!!!
Nana & Koen
Koen & Aunt Nikki
Papaw & Koen
Just sweet Koen....
Mimi & Koen
Now these are just sweet!!!
The entire day was such a memorable and wonderful day! This is what life is all about, the precious moments. . .

but by the moments that take our breath away"
